Meet the brightest people in the industry, our senior management:

Chintu Patel, RPh. - Chief Executive Officer
Prior to founding Amneal Pharmaceuticals in 2001, Chintu worked at Eckerd—where he received numerous customer excellence awards—and at Sidmak Laboratories in various senior-level positions. Chintu started his pharmacy career in 1994, after receiving his Bachelors in Pharmacy from Rutgers College of Pharmacy. He has been groomed for the pharmaceutical industry since childhood as his family owned and operated various drug and surgical manufacturing companies in their homeland of India.

Chirag Patel - President
Chirag has over 17 years of finance, corporate planning, business development, and Information Technology experience. Chirag co-founded Veriprise Wireless Corporation in 1999, raising $9 million dollars to fund the company and managing it to eventual partnership with Northwestern Mutual, Procter & Gamble, Lotus, Motorola, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Siebel, AT&T Wireless and Verizon Wireless. In addition he worked with the Motorola global team to jointly penetrate the market in South America and India. Prior to Veriprise, Chirag led business development, strategy, and finance at NextGen Technologies—another company he co-founded. Prior to these entrepreneurial successes, he worked at Unisys Corporation, Terex Corporation, and York International in a variety of analytical, financial and executive positions. Chirag received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Gujarat University India (1986) and New Jersey City University (1989) and qualified for C.P.A Certification in 1993.

Jim Luce - Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Jim has over 25 years of sales leadership, strategic planning and organizational development experience for Fortune 100 companies, including his dynamic tenure as EVP-Retail Sales & Strategic Accounts for Bergen Brunswig Drug Company/AmerisourceBergen Drug Company. In leading the $20-billion retail sales effort, Jim and his team successfully renegotiated contracts with 39 retail chains, many of which were mold-breaking agreements in the industry at the time. His unique approach to driving customer value and focusing on mutual value creation with his accounts were key factors to growing the business at almost twice the pace of the industry. His role with Amneal is to drive our customer value proposition, to ensure that our sales service and logistics reinforce our focus on superb quality, to steer our strategic direction and to position Amneal with our customers, leading to rapid growth and enabling Amneal to be a key player in the expanding global generic pharmaceuticals marketplace.

David Miller - Vice President of Quality Management
David joined Amneal in January 2005. His 27-plus years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry includes positions at PLIVA, Sidmak and Purepac. Dave heads-up all operations related to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Validation, and Compliance. In his time here at Amneal, Dave has established and upgraded the Amneal quality management systems to improve our already high level of compliance. He has also managed to build a highly experienced quality management team. Thanks to Dave’s hard work, FDA inspections of Amneal have resulted in zero FDA Warning Letters and minimal Form 483 observations. Dave is an American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer. His Bachelor of Science in Biology comes from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Rasik Bhatt - Vice President of Analytical R&D
With more than twenty years of experience in leading and managing Analytical R&D and Quality Control Labs at small and large pharmaceutical companies, Rasik Bhatt brings a wealth of experience to Amneal. His expertise lies in developing Analytical Methods and Techniques for APIs as well as for finished dosages, including some complex products. In addition, he brings in-depth knowledge of cGMP, ICH and US-FDA, DEA regulations and guidance. Prior to Amneal, Mr. Bhatt worked in increasing roles and responsibilities at Sidmak Labs, Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals (J&J), and at P.F. Labs (Purdue Pharma). With a MS degree in Health Science from Polytechnic University-New York and a Master of Sciences degree in Chemistry from SP University India, Mr. Bhatt is an active member of AAPS, ACS and AOAC.

Jiten Parikh – Vice President of Operations, Branchburg Facility
In his current role, Jiten oversees all operations for our liquids and R&D facility. He most recently held the position of Vice President of Facility & Maintenance at Amneal. Jiten started his pharmacy career in 1994, after receiving his bachelor in Pharmacy from Rutgers College of Pharmacy. He then went on to work at NPA - Prescription Mail Order Facility, and held the positions of Pharmacy Manager at RiteAid Pharmacy as well Research Assistant at Rutgers University’s Toxicology Department. At present, he is also Economic Development Commissioner for Bloomingdale Township in New Jersey.

Manoj Shah - Vice President of Information Technology & Business Support
Manoj Shah joined Amneal in January 2007 as Vice President of Information Technology/Business Support responsible for the management and oversight of IT, Network Infrastructures and over-all support of ERP, e-CTD and Quality Management applications. Prior to Amneal, Manoj worked for Sidmak/PLIVA for over 18 years where he developed—from the ground up—the entire IT infrastructure which today supports 350+ users and includes complex systems such as ERP, EDI, and Chargeback. Mr. Shah holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Gujarat University in India and in Computer Information Systems from City University of New York.

Dr. Praful Shah – Senior Director Quality Control & Analytical Support
Praful has a Ph.D. in chemistry and over 17 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality control, analytical methods development and validation for product release and stability assessment. His responsibilities oversee equipment-cleaning assessment, laboratory investigations including root cause analysis, as well as setting specifications and justifications. He also represents the laboratories during regulatory inspections. Praful is strongly focused on cGMP compliance and an auditor.
