Global Operations

Chintu Patel, R.Ph. - Chief Executive Officer, Co-founder

Chintu started his career in 1994, after receiving his Bachelors in Pharmacy from Rutgers College of Pharmacy. He then moved on to Eckerd-where he received numerous awards-before holding various senior-level positions for a large U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturer. Passionate about building a remarkable pharmaceutical company based on quality and integrity, Chintu founded Amneal Pharmaceuticals in 2002.

Chirag Patel - President, Co-founder

A true entrepreneur, Chirag has over 17 years of experience in core positions such as finance, corporate planning, business development, and information technology. Prior to founding Amneal, Chirag established two technology companies and logged over eight years in senior-level positions at three Fortune-50 corporations. He received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Gujarat University India and New Jersey City University qualifying for C.P.A Certification in 1993.

Jim Luce - Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing

To Amneal, Jim brings 25+ years of Fortune 100-level sales leadership, strategic planning and organizational development experience. This includes his dynamic tenure as EVP-Retail Sales & Strategic Accounts for Bergen Brunswig Drug Company/AmerisourceBergen Drug Company. His unique approach to driving customer value and focusing on mutual value creation with his accounts were key factors to growing the business at almost twice the pace of the industry.

David Miller, CQE - Vice President, Quality Management

David joined Amneal in January 2005 bringing more than 27 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with him. Dave heads up all operations related to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Validation, and Compliance. In his time here at Amneal, Dave has continuously enhanced the Amneal quality management systems and processes to improve our already exceptional compliance level. He holds a BS in Biology from Case Western Reserve University.

Candis Edwards - Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs

Candis oversees all Regulatory filings related to product approval and post marketing support. She is responsible for development of Amneal's ANDA strategy development and implementation as well as for assuring compliance of its API manufacturers. Candis offers over 25 years of experience in RA, R&D, Project Management, QA, QC, and cGMP Compliance with major pharmaceutical manufacturers. She holds a BS in Bacteriology & Public Health from Wagner College, and a Masters in Industrial Pharmacy from St. Johns University where she presently holds an Adjunct Professor title.

Ken Cappel, R.Ph., Esq. - Vice President of Intellectual Property

Both a registered pharmacist and licensed attorney, Ken is well suited for his role which includes handling all intellectual property issues and litigation at Amneal. He brings over 20 years of expertise and professional experience in pharmaceutical law, drug development and pharmaceutical chemistry. Ken earned his JD from Seton Hall School of Law and a BS in Pharmacy from Rutgers University.

Sanjiv Patel - Senior Vice President, Operations

Sanjiv brings tremendous expertise in team building and cGMP process management with specialization in cryogenics/HVAC. A Mechanical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Sanjiv has managed Business Development, Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing and Customer Service departments throughout his career in the defense, semi-conductor, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, nano-biotechnology, and agricultural industries.

Jiten Parikh, R.Ph. – Vice President of Operations, Branchburg Facility

One of the Amneal co-founders, Jiten contributes a wealth of experience from the numerous management positions he held with prominent retail and health system pharmacy organizations. He holds a BS in Pharmacy from Rutgers University and serves as an economic development commissioner for Bloomingdale Twp., New Jersey.

India Operations

Kanu Patel, R.Ph. - Managing Director - Amneal Pharmaceuticals (India) Pvt. Ltd., Co-founder

Starting more than 44 years ago in Quality Management, Kanu proceeded to spend nine years as an FDA investigator in India. He also founded two healthcare-related companies before moving to the U.S. and taking a position with Sidmak Labs-first in QA, and later in manufacturing. Kanu joined Amneal in 2005 guiding almost every department-from QA to regulatory, R&D to manufacturing. He is now focused on R&D Formulation. He holds a BS from LM College of Pharmacy in India, and is a New York-registered pharmacist.

Dr. Nikunj Patel - Executive Vice President, Amneal Pharmaceuticals (India) Pvt. Ltd.

Dr. Patel heads up our Amneal India R&D Centre. Under his leadership the centre is able to execute technically sound and cost-effective bio-studies and meet stringent ANDA filing timelines. Before taking charge of the Amneal India R&D Centre, Dr. Patel worked as Principle Investigator for Cadila Pharmaceuticals and Veeda Research in India. He is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology and highly trained in clinical research under both Indian and US guidelines. Nikunj brings to Amneal an exceptional understanding of the CRO business in India as well as a strong network in the industry.
